If after reviewing the information below, you do not know how to tell whether you meet these technical requirements or not, please ask your own ISP System Administrator or contact the Institute's Technical Support through the Contact page with your specific request for assistance.


A PC running Windows 2000 or XP or above (The video feature requires at least Windows XP), or a Mac with G3, G4 or G5 processor, or a Mac OS X v 10.3 Panther or newer.

Internet connection:(broadband/DSL is best or at a minimum connectivity with at least 56k dial up modem. GPRS is not supported, and results may vary on a satellite connections).

Your computer should possess at least a 1MB MHz processor with a 512 MB RAM minimum and at least 30 MB of free disk space on the hard drive.

Screen resolution should be at least 800 x 600 minimum. 

The Internet browser recommended is either Explorer or FireFox -- set to accept cookies from our Course Management System and to show the newest version of a page pulled from the Internet. 

Pop-up blocking software should be disabled during class time.

Speakers and microphone — built-in or separate -- should be installed with a  full duplex sound card for listening and speaking.

A Video capture card and Web camera, or video camera that supports Video for Windows is also recommended by not required. This is designed to permit oral presentations and backup Institute exam security.

The Institute requires each DiUlus Scholar to be signed onto SKYPE telephony services provided by SKYPE that permits cost free telephone and conferencing exchanges with faculty and other students, as needed. The Service is free among Skype members but requires a $10 deposit to cover the cost to non Skype members. All Faculty are Skype members.

If you have confirmed that your PC meets the technical requirements listed on this page you are ready to access Institute courses. The Course Management System is MOODLE based and provided by the Institute's sponsor without cost to DiUlus Scholars or the Institute.


Microsoft WORD; Adobe PDF Read Only; PowerPoint Read Only; Excel Read Only; and the FREE Microsoft Media Player. Microsoft WORD is the standard used by the Institute for submission of papers and other written work related to course material. All other listed software is available free for download from Microsoft.
